Daily Routine at Waredaca
All horses follow a routine at Waredaca. Morning feeding occurs between 7 and 8:00, followed by turnout and stable chores. Evening feeding occurs between 4:30 and 6:00, depending on our afternoon lesson class schedule. The stall-boarded horses are generally turned out with the group at their respective stall site. Our Loddon stalls are 10 x 12, with sawdust used for bedding. Buckets and feed tubs are scrubbed as needed. We feed a Pennfield grain-mix with 10% protein and 6-8% fat depending on the season; hay type is generally Timothy or Timothy/mix. If horses require a special feed or supplement, we will dispense it. Turn out time during the cool months is from 9:00AM to between 5-6:00PM. Horse blankets are removed and replaced when wet. In warm weather, the horses are in.
