Horse Trials

Three weekends each year, Waredaca hosts United States Eventing Association recognized competitions—late May/early June, August and late October are the times these are scheduled in accordance with the USA Equestrian national schedule. The Waredaca Horse Trials attract competitors from New England to the Carolinas. Often "big time" riders of recent Olympic fame ride their less experienced horses. These are major competitions that feature dressage, cross country jumping and show jumping.

Volunteering

Whether you are experienced horse trial staff or someone who knows only the front end from the other end of a horse, your efforts are important. Many people are required to successfully execute a horse trial. We need volunteers to do many different things-build and paint jumps, score riders going cross country, help with hospitality for our judging officials, work with "numbers" in the results booth, park cars, and so forth. We welcome all curious and interested folks who wish to lend a hand at our competitions. Experience the thrill of being a part of the sport of Eventing!! Through your volunteer support at events, Waredaca is helping to develop this country's future Olympic athletes as well as offer exciting competition for the many adults and teens who claim combined training as "their" sport!! Give us the chance to match you with the right job!!

COMPETITORS ― You can earn a certificate for a free cross-country school. Any competitor who provides a competent volunteer for one full day during our events will receive a coupon for a free schooling. Contact the business office for details
