QUALIFICATIONS

2008 Area II Adult Riders Training Three Day Event QUALIFICATIONS for the period of November 2007 thru the closing date:

  1. THE HORSE AND RIDER MUST COMPLETE FOUR USEA RECOGNIZED HORSE TRIALS AT THE TRAINING LEVEL WITH NO JUMPING PENALTIES.
  2. If you are qualified for the American Eventing Championships at Training Level, YOU WILL BE QUALIFIED FOR THE TRAINING THREE DAY EVENT.
    Horses and riders, not necessarily as a combination, during the period from July 31, 2007 to August 18, 2008 will qualify to compete in this division when they have placed with the following qualifying result(s):
    1st or 2nd in any USEA recognized Training Horse Trials
    OR: 3rd in at least two USEA recognized Training Horse Trials
    OR: 1st through 5th in any USEA Training Area Championship

    Total Completed Competitions
    The horse and rider must have, not necessarily as a combination, completed (obtained a final numerical score) a total of three USEA recognized Training Horse Trials, without cross-country jump penalties, during the qualifying period. Any of these three required completions can include the competition(s) used as Qualifying Results. One possible example: Winning or placing second at a USEA recognized Training Horse Trial during the qualifying period (without cross-country jump penalties) would count as a Qualifying Result. In addition, the horse and rider (not necessarily as a combination) would need to have completed (obtained a final numerical score) two other USEA recognized Training Horse Trials, without cross-country jump penalties, during the qualifying period.
    Restrictions

Please note these are specific qualifications for the 2007 Area II Adult Riders Training Three Day Event. If you are considering entering a Training Three Day Event in another area, please check your omnibus or contact the organizer for specific qualifications for that event.

The dates for the Area II Adult Riders Training Three Day Event: Oct. 24-27, 2007. Weds. First Inspection; Thursday, Dressage; Friday, Endurance Day; Saturday, 2nd Horse Inspection, Stadium Jumping and Awards Ceremony. Competitors may arrive on Tuesday with arrival exams in the afternoon--formal activities and events start on Wednesday morning. A more complete schedule will be posted when available.

Additional Information for Potential Three-Day Competitors:

Stalls: Waredaca will have special stabling for the three-day competitors. A stall and 1/2 tack stall will be made available to each competitor for Tuesday thru Sunday for a fee as yet to be determined. Stalls are temporary panel-style stalls with doors under shelter. A $50.00 refundable muck fee is required. Stabling is located on site at Waredaca and is just minutes from the Three-Day Headquarters and lodging at Camp Friendship.

Lodging: We are pleased to offer lodging to our three-day competitors. For $35.00 per night, lodging is available on-site at the dormitory style cabins at Camp Friendship. Equipped with AC/heat, hot and cold water, showers,etc., this is a fantastic option for our competitors. Stay on site, just seconds from your horse for the entire event! Grooms are welcome to lodge as well.
