Additional Testimony Excerpt for Governor's Cup

"Gretchen Butts has served the USEA in just about every capacity possible. A past board member and VP of Education, she is currently Director of the USEA Officials Advisory Panel and the Educational Consultant to the Association.  She also is an advisor to the USEF Eventing Technical Committee, a member of the Active Athletes and Safety Committees as well as being very involved in cross country course design with the licensed designers and builders.  Gretchen is herself a licensed judge and technical delegate-- nationally and internationally, organized three USEA recognized events this year, and while doing all this had piloted her horse Zydeco at the Four Star Level as well as training some younger horses. Gretchen is one of those rare people who understands just about every rule of the sport, and is happy to pass this information along to everyone in the form of her Get Smart column in Eventing USA, or at the various competitions and clinics she organizes and attends. Her dedication to the sport, her horses, her family, and the USEA is truly appreciated."
