For the new parents and pony clubbers:
WAREDACA is pleased to announce our joint venture with the United States Pony Club by offering a Pony Club CENTER! An excerpt from the USPC website further explains exactly what a ‘center’ is....
The USPC Riding Center Program is modeled after the British Pony Club Center Program, which has had phenomenal success. They currently have over 400 Centers and have over 10,000 Center members.
The purpose of the Riding Center Program is to make available Pony Club membership to youth who would not traditionally been able to participate in Pony Club due to not owing or having consistent access to a mount. Many of our Clubs have addressed this issue on a local basis. The Riding Center Program will address it on a national basis.
The Riding Center Program is designed to work with facilities that currently have a riding lesson program in place. The facility must be able to offer the core disciplines of Pony Club and be able to handle the administrative work involved in running a Pony Club Riding Center. The full Pony Club program and all Pony Club opportunities will be offered to those members participating through a Riding Center.
- All who enroll must also be members of the United States Pony Club organization and will receive full membership benefits
- The first meeting will be on December 1 and will be an introductory unmounted session about the program from 12:00 to 12:30 for pony clubbers and parents to explain the center riding program at Waredaca. Mounted evaluations will follow. Weekly lessons begin the following week. A month at a glance calendar is posted on the website.
- The total cost for the program will be as follows: in assessing these fees please consider:
This unique opportunity allows each pony clubber to essentially ‘own’ their own horse WITHOUT the cost of purchasing a horse, boarding it, ‘maintaining’ it in the sense of vet and farrier expenses-Waredaca is covering those costs for you! You simply get the benefits of enjoying your horse as you gain a wonderful Pony Club experience together!
The Waredaca Pony Club Center program schedule will go along with our seasonal lesson series. The cost breakdown is:
- $40 one time enrollment fee into the Waredaca Pony Club Center program
- $475.00 for the Saturday Winter lesson series which will run from December thru mid March.
- If your pony clubber decides to participate in QUIZ preparation and the competition, there will be an additional fee of $10 per QUIZ session, Saturdays from 2 to 3 and a $25.00 fee for the day long competition held the last weekend in March. More details will be shared once confirmed.
- Further Ratings, competitive Rallies etc will incur an additional fee to be determined once those activities and dates become available.
- Remember that all Waredaca Center members must join the United States Pony Club.
Please forward any questions to the Waredaca Business office at 301 570 4191. We look forward to having you as a Pony Clubber!!
