Steph Butts

Steph is an upper level event rider, having ridden internationally through the CCI*** level. She is currently has several lower level horses she is bringing up through the levels and doing the Young Event Horse Series. Steph has been teaching eventing and dresssage lessons, both private and groups, for 8 years at Waredaca. She teaches individuals on their own horses, and lessons on Waredaca horses. She is an A level Pony Club graduate, an ICP Level II instuctor, spent a year riding in England and Holland with top international Eventers, Dressage, and Show Jump riders. Steph also accepts horses in for training, sales, competions, and is available to coach at local events.

Competition Experiences

  • Pennfield Feed Sport Horse Nutrition Sponsored Event Rider in 2006, 2007 and 2008.
  • 1st Place at Pine Top Winter Event in the Advanced riding Zydeco March 2007.
  • 2nd Place at Ocala CCI** May 2006 riding Zydeco, and 14th at the Fork CIC*** in April 2007.
  • Long-Listed for the United States Equestrian Team for Three-Day Eventing in 2002 and 2003.
  • Completed the CCI*** at Foxhall Three-Day in 2003.
  • Team Gold at North American Young Rider Championships in the CCI** in 2002.
  • A level Pony Club Graduate.
  • Started multiple young horses in Eventing and coached lower level adults and young riders.
  • Trained with Olympians Phillip Dutton, David and Karen O’Conner, and Jimmy Wofford.
  • Spent a year based in England with International Judge and Producer of Young Horses, Judy Bradwell.
